A Mess of a Bed

128/365

This is what my bed looks like tonight - camera bag, pile of laundry to put away, the book I'm dying to read but haven't read much of today, the project bag, and the sweatshirt I was tempted to wear into an Aggie house tonight. My bed looks something like this nearly every night before bed because I've found that if I just put everything on my bed throughout the day, I'll be forced to put it away that night. That, or to pile it in another place of my room that still needs to be organized. One day...

WIP Wednesday

It's been a couple weeks since I last shared what's on my needles, but this week's project is the same as last week's. I actually had started this project last Monday or so, but frogged it a few days ago and started over using two strands and much larger needles, because knitting a 30"x30" blanket was going to take way too long on US6 needles.

This project is so simple, which I love. It's a tad too slow for my taste, as it is one increase each row. I have to get to 160 stitches before I can start the decreases and I'm somewhere around 70 right now, so we'll see if I'm still working on this project next Wednesday...

Tuesday Night Dinner

126/365

For a few months now, my family and I have been attending a Bible study at a friend's house on Tuesday nights. Last Tuesday we finished up a series, so, naturally, this week only involved having dinner together and just hanging out. It was so much fun.

(Little) Sister Date #3

Recently, little sister has become obsessed with volleyball (again). She's been hitting the ball around in our backyard, but she really wanted to get out in a larger space, so yesterday afternoon we set out.

First we stopped at Wal-Mart so I could buy a (second) gigantic skein of yarn, then to an elementary school here in town. We didn't stay there too long, because I had on jeans and it was over 90F (already!), but where I sat in the shade and knitted actually felt quite nice. She only played for a little while, then sat by me for a few minutes, which is when we were able to get the pictures of each other. Can you tell we were ready to get out of the heat?

Self Portrait (18/52)

This is about the most informal self portrait so far. It was a stereotypical "hold your arm out and snap photo" except I had the screen turned around so I could tell that I really was in the frame.

More on the story behind this picture in tomorrow's blog post...
